About ADM
Why the Name?

The name Ashley Down was chosen because of the inspiring life of George Mueller, the 19th century German pastor who, over his lifetime, faithfully served and lived by faith to care for over 10,000 orphans in England. Ashley Down was the name of the land that the orphanage was built on in 1845 near Bristol, England. It is still standing today as a living testimony to the power of prayer and to the faithful dependance upon the living God alone for the provision of all their needs.
"Expect great things from God, and great things you will have." George Mueller
"If we desire our faith to be strengthened, we should not shrink from opportunities where our faith may be tried, and therefore, through trial, be strengthened."
George Mueller, 1841
"The joy which answers to prayer give, cannot be described; and the benefit which they afford to the spiritual life is exceedingly great" George Mueller
"Never give up praying until the answer comes." George Mueller
Mission Statement
Ashley Down Mission exists as a Christ-centered mission to impact communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We particularly focus our work on Native American communities in order to live out Matthew 25:35-40. Our aim is to work in partnership with tribal leaders and organizations as well as outside groups.
Statement of Faith
Ashley Down Mission is a faith-based organization. Though the Mission is not associated with any denomination, the basis of our belief rests in the authority of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. We believe in a Sovereign God and the saving grace of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is our greatest desire to serve God by the demonstration of our faith through action. We want our faith to be demonstrated through a “living example" to those we work with. It is our highest honor to serve Native communities with the same loving grace that has so freely been given to us
